About Us

Welcome to Pilates & Co.

Welcome to our community, with four studios in the Gold Coast, Burleigh, Bundall, Robina and Pimpama & three studios in Sunshine Coast, Cotton Tree, Coolum and Buderim. We’re all about creating an inclusive, uplifting space where every age and fitness level feels supported, confident and inspired.
Our Gold Coast studios are fully equipped with Merrithew Reformers, plus Cadillacs, Wunda Chairs, Barrels & our Sunshine Coast studios having Balanced Body reformers both top of the range brands. All studios have a wide range of props to add variety, challenge or support. Everything is regularly maintained and cleaned so you can move with confidence.
As a boutique studio, we keep our group classes to a maximum of 14, ensuring personalised attention from our experienced instructors or alternatively opt for Private of Duo sessions for a specifically targeted and supported focus. At our Gold Coast studios, we also offer small groups (3 people) for a more tailored experience, perfect for anyone with injuries, specific goals or who simply wants deeper guidance.
We invite new members to join a free orientation class to learn the basics, get comfortable in the studio and discover the best pathway for their goals. From there, you can choose one or a mix of our Intro Packs to get started..

Meet the owners

ROZ AND DAVID NORMAN

Studio founders Roz and David Norman bring decades of experience, passion and energy to Pilates & Co. Roz began her fitness career at just 16 and has since worked across Australia and overseas in coaching, management and consulting roles. After discovering how transformative Pilates was post-pregnancy, she set out to create the perfect studio experience—opening Pilates & Co. in 2015. She later served as Head Pilates Coach for Virgin Active Singapore and Thailand before returning home to focus on the studio.

David’s background includes a sports science degree, owning award-winning fitness studios, and founding EYE Fitness, which supplied innovative fitness products across APAC before merging in 2017. His work with Virgin Active in Singapore further strengthened his expertise, and he is also qualified in Reformer Pilates and functional training.

Together, Roz and David also run Fitbod Online and co-own Therapy Fitness, expanding their mission to make movement accessible and enjoyable for all. Their shared passion for balanced, healthy living is at the heart of Pilates & Co and they hope a little of that enthusiasm inspires you too.

    BOOKING MULTIPLE CLASSES AT ONCE
Currently, it’s not possible to book multiple classes at once, each class must be booked individually.

  • To ensure the best experience for everyone, we start classes right on time. Even being 1–2 minutes late, the teacher won’t be able to admit you in, so we recommend giving yourself plenty of time to park and get settled.

If something comes up and you can’t make it, please late cancel whenever possible. This gives another member the chance to grab your spot or move off the waitlist, helping everyone get the most out of their classes!

  • YES we offer membership holds if you are planning a holiday or wish to take a break. We are super flexible on this. Please send your request with 7 days notice in writing via email to
info@pilatesandco.com.au and we can address this. We have some maximum ‘on hold’ periods as standard but happy to review all reasonable requests.

  • For safety and insurance reasons, children are not allowed in the studio at any time, and we’re unable to allow them to sit or wait during classes.

If you’re a parent or carer, please know our goal is to create a space where you and all our members can enjoy your class with minimal distractions. This includes not permitting late entry into classes and maintaining a child-free environment in the studio.

We truly appreciate your understanding as we work to keep the studio a safe, calm, and enjoyable place for everyone.

  • We don’t offer a creche here at Pilates & Co., we’re proud to offer a boutique studio experience that’s intentionally different from your typical gym setting. Our studios are designed to be a calm, welcoming space just for YOU—a place where you can switch off, focus inward, and prioritise your own wellbeing without distractions. This also ensures our team can remain fully focused on delivering you high quality class. We have a desire to maintain a tranquil, uninterrupted environment for both clients and instructors. We totally understand how important childcare is, and we admire every parent/carer who still finds time to move. When you walk through our doors, we want this to be your moment, your time to recharge, reset, and show up for yourself.
We do however offer dedicated 'Bring your Bubs' classes generally for babies until age 1 that you can attend with your baby! See schedule for times. The majority of our outdoor and community classes that are part of the GC Active and healthy program also allow children to attend under your supervision but with the goal to be considerate of the other attendees.

  • Every child and situation is different, so please chat with us if you’re unsure. As a general guideline, we welcome participants from 14 years old, provided a parent or carer is attending and gives consent.

We also offer dedicated Teen Classes for ages 10–16.

  • Please visit our GET STARTED page to find out more.

  • Please allow some time before classes to find parking and read the parking tips posters in studio. Please visit our Before your first Class page to find out more information regarding parking in both studio locations.

  • The following information about specific funds should be taken as a guide only and is not an exhaustive list of funds recognising fitness services. If your holds private health insurance, you will need to contact your fund to determine what is required to enable to gain a rebate and what level of rebate is eligible to receive. It’s important to remember that all funds are different! Some funds require us or our staff to be registered with AUSactive, while others also require us or our staff to be registered with them directly. A doctor or allied health professional referral will be required to indicate that the program is necessary due to an existing health or medical condition. Finally, it’s also important to remember that the amount of a potential refund is heavily dependent on the level of cover held by the member and that holding private health insurance does not automatically ensure eligibility for a refund for fitness service. The wording for your private health insurer is “Group Training” or Personal Training” that you are to ask your provider about NOT Pilates. Current providers include NIB, BUPA, Westfund, RTHealth, Medibank. For more information please contact the studio.

  • A towel and drink bottle are recommended, and socks are compulsory for every class. While Pilates is lower intensity and in an air-conditioned studio, you can still work up a sweat so a towel helps keep you comfortable, supports hygiene, and can also be used as a prop under your head on the reformer if needed.

Forgot your grip socks or need a new pair? We have them available for purchase at the studio.

  • We completely understand that starting or returning to group classes can feel a little overwhelming, especially if it’s your first time or if you have health considerations. At our Gold Coast studios we offer small group Pilates classes and Private classes to help you gain confidence and to give you that personalised experience.

  • To help stop the spread of illness, please do not attend class if you’re unwell. We kindly ask that you respect this policy, as well as the health of our members and staff.

Our 12-hour cancellation policy still applies, so please make sure to cancel within this window to avoid being charged for the class. If you’re feeling even slightly under the weather, it’s best to cancel as a precaution. You can always rebook when you’re feeling better or pick up a last-minute spot without affecting your session credits.

  • We’ve sourced hospital-grade 81% liquid hand sanitiser and disinfectant, which you’ll find in our portable and automatic dispensers at each studio entrance.

We also provide disinfectant wipes for use as needed, and these are always used after every class and after any equipment use.

All rubbish bins in the studio are open-mouth or foot-activated, and they’re emptied regularly to maintain a clean and safe environment.
